Evacuation shelters are available at CrossPointe Church, 2601 24th Avenue SE, and Little Axe Recreation Center, 1000 168th NE Avenue. Once you have evacuated an area, DO NOT return to an evacuated area until an all-clear is announced. Multiple fast moving wildfires in Oklahoma and Texas.

I have been making #Wildfire #GIS maps for at least 10 years and this is the first time I have seen NOAA issue a “fire warning”.

As cold storm which brought heavy rain & even severe thunderstorms to CA eastward, it will likely cause a major tornado outbreak across Deep South on Sat. But first, it will generate a "near-historic" fire weather event across Southern Plains on Fri. #CAwx #NMwx #TXwx #OKwx

Here we go again. Another round of severe weather, tornadoes and misery coming up this evening for the plains.

A Particularly Dangerous Situation (PDS, the highest severity level) tornado watch has been issued for southern Kansas, central Oklahoma and far north Texas until 11 p.m. CDT, including Oklahoma City, and Wichita, Kansas. Extremely large hail, strong tornadoes and and destructive wind gusts are possible in this area.
