Known functions are now available for over 20,000, or 82%, of human protein-coding genes – thanks to evolutionary modelling co-developed by SIB scientists & published in Nature.
The resulting open resource, PAN-GO, generates clearer and more informative insights than previously available, for example when comparing genes expressed in a specific type of cancer cell to the corresponding normal cell type.
